Demand-side platform comparison: Choozle vs Centro

With so many options to choose from, itŠ—’s hard to know which programmatic advertising platform is the best choice for you. We took a side-by-side compassion between Choozle and Centro from reviews provided on G2Crowd.

Tag/Pixel Management

The Smart Container Tag is a Choozle tool that has a variety of functionalities. It enables remote API tag placement and can edit or optimize all tags, including ChoozleŠ—’s insights/data, campaign, performance, and retargeting tags. Users place it above the header of their URL and within days will have tons of data regarding current website traffic. Centro uses a pixel to track conversions, but this is its only function. It will tell you which conversions are generated from each ad group, but it will not give any insight into the siteŠ—’s audience. Without knowing what the characteristics of a siteŠ—’s current audience are, it is difficult to know whom to target when creating a campaign.


Choozle is unique in the ad tech industry in that there are NO budget minimums for campaigns. Additionally, marketers and advertisers are able to upload many different ad types including display, mobile, video, third party, and third-party video. These campaigns can be directly inputted into any of our 40+ ad exchange partners, which include Google, AppNexus, and OpenX. While other DSPs in the space require budget minimums which can be a large barrier for smaller companies looking to use programmatic advertising. However, Centro does offer the targeting functions that are unique to their platform. there are more advanced options you can use when making a campaign. For example, with their geolocation targeting, you can have very granular hyperlocal targeting as well as robust global capabilities in emerging markets like APAC.

Reporting and Support

Both platforms give you comprehensive reports and support for your campaigns. With Choozle you get access to detailed and real-time reports that are available within the platform. These reports are available as exportable PDF or CSV files for planning analysis and optimization of campaigns. Additionally, our dedicated support team is available to help during our office hours. Users with an ascent or summit subscription can also utilize their designated support hours with their account strategist. With Centro, you have more analytics with reporting. You can see what percent of people watched certain percentages of a video ad, CTC and VTC revenues, the carrier and make of the mobile device they viewed your ads on, along with other categories. However, you only get access to a dedicated support representative with a $10k minimum ad spend. Choozle wants to make sure our users completely understand the ins and outs of our platform. ThatŠ—’s why we created Choozle Academy, an online school that explains how to effectively use the Choozle platform. Along with that, we have a ton of FAQŠ—’s, articles, and webinars to help with the learning process. Centro has many useful guides to help users but does not have any type of online learning system.
